Let’s cut to it: digital clutter is just as chaotic as physical clutter. Your devices are full of things you don’t use, don’t need, or forgot existed. If your storage is full, your desktop is a nightmare, or your inbox is overflowing—this is your sign to clean it up.
Here’s the few ways that I digitally declutter:
Here’s the few ways that I digitally declutter:
1. Remove Duplicate Photos

Why do you have so many photos of the delicious pasta you ate from months ago? They all look the same.
Duplicate photos eat up storage fast. If you're on iPhone, go to Photos > scroll down to Duplicates > tap Merge. It’ll automatically combine exact copies, or you can delete the extras manually. No need for 10 identical selfies—keep your favorite and let the rest go!

2. Clean Up Your Downloads Folder

This folder becomes a dumping ground. I always forget I downloaded things like random PDFs, screenshots, or app installers I only needed once.
On MacBook, go to the top left corner > Go > hover down to Downloads. Select everything you don’t need and send it to the trash. You’ll be surprised how much space you free up.

3. Delete Apps You Don’t Use

Be honest—if you haven’t opened that app in months, you don’t need it. Unused apps take up storage and add mental clutter.
On iPhone, hold down on the home screen until the apps wiggle, tap the X, then hit Delete. Clear out anything that no longer serves a purpose.

4. Organize Your Desktop

Messy desktop = messy mind. I don't like seeing random documents, screenshots, and folders all over my home screen.
Create dedicated folders—think “School,” “Work,” “Receipts,” “Photos”—and move your files into them. Bonus: it’s way easier to find what you need later.

5. Clean Out Junk Email

Spam and promo emails pile up fast. If you're someone who gets easily influenced to shop (me), this is a big one.
Go into your email, select all > mark as read > move to trash. You’ll instantly feel 10 pounds lighter. 99% of those emails don’t need your attention anyway.

6. New Wallpaper, New Mood

One of my favorite ways to refresh my space is switching up my wallpaper.
Whether it’s a minimalist design, a seasonal vibe, or a cute gradient, it makes your screen feel new. I even make monthly wallpapers—go to my Freebies tab and grab a fresh one for your phone or laptop.
